About the opportunity 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Development Delivery Manager to join our team to support the delivery of 500 high quality, low carbon, new homes each year and make a difference to people’s lives, homes and communities. As a member of our Senior Management Group and working with the wider Development team, this role will play an integral part in supporting the business and staff in Wales’ top not-for-profit organisation, as voted by our staff in the Sunday Times ‘Best Companies to Work For’ list.


What will you be doing?

As our Development Delivery Manager for South Wales, you will be responsible for leading the regional delivery team of Project Managers and Site Inspectors and working with our contractors and consultants to ensure that all our new homes meet our requirements and are delivered on time, on budget and to the high level of quality we expect. You will work on a varied programme of schemes, including delivery of homes for rent and sale; urban, flatted developments; rural housing projects and extra-care schemes. You will support your team and work with colleagues across WWH to ensure the smooth transition of new homes into the business and will identify and implement opportunities to improve the way we work and the homes we deliver. Who are we looking for?

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • A can-do attitude and drive to deliver positive outcomes for our residents
  • A demonstrable track record in the management and delivery of construction projects
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of various forms of procurement and contracts
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to project manage programmes of work and staff.
  • Understanding of the business environment/drivers of Registered Social Landlords.
