The Opportunity
Wales & West Housing is delighted to be recruiting an Extra Care Manager (ECM) to work at our Llys Jasmine Extra Care Scheme in Mold, Flintshire.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for helping people to live independently. Your role will be providing high-quality resident focussed housing services to residents of a 61 apartment Extra Care scheme. You will be working with Catering teams, Care teams and support providers to ensure residents are provided with services that best meet their needs.

To succeed in this role, you will have a genuine passion and interest in what we do as an organisation. Delivering a high‑quality, resident‑focused supported housing management service within an Extra Care setting.
You will have a demonstrable track record of service delivery within a housing or customer focused environment. You will also need to have empathy, resilience and good listening skills to succeed in this role.
To help us deliver an excellent service, you should demonstrate good leadership and management skills, being approachable and supportive.
An integral part of your role will be to establish strong working relationships with a number of teams so you will have an excellent manner, outstanding communication skills and integrity in everything.
Because every day is different you will need to think quickly bringing forward practical solutions to challenges and share ideas for making things better.
What will you be doing?
The purpose of this role is to deliver a high‑quality, resident‑focused supported housing management service within an Extra Care setting, ensuring residents are supported to pay their rent, empty properties are well managed and residents supported to live harmoniously and maintain their independence.
The postholder also provides proactive leadership to a team of Extra Care Assistants (cleaning and catering), to support the delivery of catering services at the scheme, ensuring consistent, effective service delivery in line with the WWHG Way and organisational expectations.
You will also work collaboratively with external care & support providers, partners and the wider community, ensuring coordinated services that promote the wellbeing of residents.
The overall focus is on creating a well‑run, welcoming community where residents are empowered to thrive.
