The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team for a 12 month fixed term contract as our Mobile support Cook/Chef. This role is perfect for someone who wants to enhance the lives of residents and communities across Wales by delivering outstanding food and service.

 

Who are we looking for?

As our Mobile support Cook/Chef, you'll be at the heart of our five Extra Care schemes, where we support residents to live independently. Each scheme boasts its own on-site restaurant, providing top-quality lunchtime catering. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring our residents enjoy delicious meals and excellent service every day.

We're seeking an experienced part-time Cook/Chef as a multi-site support to cover our kitchens ensuring food quality, service excellence, business continuity, and resident satisfaction. This is a part-time role at 22.5hrs per week.


What will you be doing?

• Daily Operations: Support across multiple Extra Care schemes, ensuring everything runs smoothly, in the preparation and serving of meals.

• Ordering: To assist with ordering in the Lead Cook/Chef’s absence to ensure the right level of stock to deliver the service is available.

• Positive influence: Create a positive and motivated work environment, leading by example.

• Compliance: Maintain high standards of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.

• Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with catering teams, residents, and scheme managers.

• Resident Feedback: Monitor and address resident feedback to continuously improve our services.


Where is the role based?

This role requires flexibility and the ability to travel between all current Extra Care Schemes to meet business needs. The position currently covers the following locations:

• Prestatyn
• Holywell
• Mold
• Newtown
• Aberystwyth


Do you have:

• Experience: A proven track record as a Cook/Chef working with fresh food.

• Skills: Excellent cooking skills, including baking, and dessert making

• Communication: Excellent relationship-building and communication skills to liaise effectively with catering teams, scheme managers and residents.

• Passion: A genuine passion for food quality, service excellence, and operational efficiency.

• Flexibility: Willingness to travel between all current Extra Care schemes to meet business needs.
