Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in delivering planned maintenance or asset investment programmes. You should have a solid understanding of housing maintenance standards and best practices and be confident in managing the end-to-end delivery of maintenance projects.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, particularly in working collaboratively with contractors and engaging effectively with residents.
The ideal candidate will have experience delivering projects through a strong site presence. You will also be a team player who can work flexibly and support colleagues, including deputising for other team members when required.
An understanding of WHQS 2023 would be highly beneficial and your ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and contractors, combined with sound negotiation skills, will be key to your success in this role.
What will you be doing?
Our Assets Team is responsible for delivering a wide range of planned works across our housing stock in Wales, ensuring high-quality service delivery that meets the needs of our residents.
Initially, your focus will be on affordable warmth and decarbonisation projects, with the potential to expand into broader maintenance initiatives. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of works, conducting regular site visits to assess quality and progress, and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards. Your ability to identify issues early and implement corrective actions will be key to maintaining programme integrity.
You will work closely with Cambria Maintenance Services and other contractors, building strong relationships to ensure that specifications and delivery methods are continuously reviewed and optimised.
In addition to managing day-to-day delivery, you will contribute to the scheduling of works to support effective coordination and timely completion, and provide valuable input on complex projects, offering your expertise to help drive successful outcomes.
With regular travel across Wales required, this is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the quality of homes and services we provide.
