The Opportunity

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to make a real difference to the lives of residents and communities across Wales. As our Purchase Ledger Officer you will play a key role in the Treasury and Payments team in Wales’ top not-for-profit organisation, as voted by our staff in the 'Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For' list.

 

 

Who are we looking for?

 

To succeed in this role, you will have a genuine passion and interest in what we do as an organisation. You will have knowledge of accounting systems and the ability to communicate with all levels of financial and non-financial staff.  Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a finance department.

 

To help us deliver an excellent service you must have a proven track record in the following:

 

  • Working to strict deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Working well within a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience of purchase ledger function within a busy team

 

What will you be doing?

 

  • Process all overhead invoices in line with the agreed payment calendar. Ensuring the correct level of authorisation is sort.
  • Be responsible for the implementation and processing of all staff expenses.
  • Work to regular strict processing deadlines as part of the Treasury and Payments team.
  • Support other roles within the Treasury and Payments team when required.
  • Producing adhoc reports as directed by the Lead Purchase Ledger Officer.
  • Providing system support where necessary to Treasury and Payments team when required.
